It is surprising how quickly you get used to a new environment,
at some point the strangeness of a new place seems to become your new ‘normal’.
This afternoon, whilst driving back to Muheza, I was struck by such a
realisation. Whilst the scenery was no less breath taking at times, I had come
to consider the very different buildings, endless speed bumps, roadside stalls,
tropical fruit, lorries, overladen motorcycles (to name but a few things) all
part of my new normal. I was even starting to recognise the route to and from Tanga. Fascinating.
